Chemical Fertilizers

Chemical fertilizers are the inorganic material of wholly or partially synthetic origin which is used to replace the mineral salts taken by plants or removed/washed by rain. Modern fertilizers include one or more of three elements that are most important in plant nutrition: nitrogen phosphorus , potassium. Of secondary importance are the elements: sulfur, magnesium and calcium.
